America became the global leader in science and technology because we invested in publicly funded research. The internet, GPS, MRIs, AI breakthroughs, life-saving vaccines — they all began with taxpayer-funded grants that supported our best minds.
So what are Trump and Elon Musk doing?
🔻 Slashing NIH funding by 40%
🔻 Firing thousands of scientists
🔻 Gutting the government research pipeline that made us a superpower
🔻 And doing it all under the banner of “efficiency” and “freedom” — while Musk’s companies still cash government checks.
We’re watching the deliberate destruction of the U.S. innovation engine — not by accident, but by design. Because when you kill basic research, you kill the conditions that allow the next big breakthrough before it becomes profitable.
Trump’s solution? Fire the scientists. Ride a $500 million “gift” jet from Qatar. And call it leadership.
Here’s the truth:
📉 Private companies won’t invest in open-ended, long-term discovery.
📉 Big tech monopolies don’t innovate — they acquire.
📉 And no society that abandons science survives for long.
This isn’t fiscal conservatism. It’s sabotage.
